Dirty Thirty

Ok, I did it, I turned 30 and you know what? I survived, I actually enjoyed it! It was a busy weekend but Jake made sure it was wonderful :)

I had a few things that I REALLY wanted to accomplish before I turned the big 3-0...

1. Enter and Complete (running only) a 5K

Well I can mark that off... and Erin (sis in law) got me to do it and I am so grateful!

And I had this little girl inspire me by running the kids race before me!

2. Get my Bachelor's Degree

Well I did that too!!

3. Have my two sweet babies

Got it!

Those are the top three and I did it, I cut it close but I did it! I love everything about turning 30, I feel like I have accomplisted so much and my life is so full!! Thirty is great and it gives me so many things to look forward too :)

Graduation Time

Wow! I had no idea that it had been so long since I have posted, so here is an update! I FINALLY graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a Bachelors of Science degree in Speech Langauge Pathology and Audiology and a minor in Developmental Disabilities... phew that is a mouthful!

Yes, I am a complete dork and I realize this, but I am a graduated dork and I am so excited!! This has been a LONG time coming but I am just so proud of myself. But I could never have done ANY of it without some amazing family. My husband and kids were always so supportive and such an amazing inspiration for me. And my parents were a MAJOR part of my success and I am so blessed to have them in my life. And many many more people were there for me and my family through this all.'

 Jessalyn and Zander didn't come to the graduation :( They got to stay home and play with their cousins all morning. I'm pretty sure that they enjoyed themselves anyway.

 My husband helped me so much during these last few years, he was the ultimate support through all of my happy school days, or the days when I didn't think I could do it anymore, he stayed home with Zander when we first got him so I could finish the semester, he had sacrificed so much for me and I know he loves me so much and I love him! (Sorry no more mushy gushy crap!)

Here is our SLP Crew! Leila, Me and Erin (we are missing Corinne) We helped eachother through school so much. We worked on MANY group projects together and we were there for eachother during EVERY stupid question other people would ask and we had to suffer through :)

This is pretty close to the entire SLP class of 2012. It was a pretty good class and I enjoyed all of these girls (except the stupid question ones...oops)

Leila, Me and Erin... I graduate May 19th and turned 30 on May 20th, that should explain my hat a little!!

Thank you UNR, I can't say I'm going to miss you!!

An Anniversary... or you could say Zanaversary ;)

That's right, we have had this little guy for a WHOLE year! He makes us laugh EVERY day and I can't even imagine what our world would be like without him in it. To tell you the truth I don't even want to try to imagine my life without him...

So we had a pretty normal day and then when Dad and Lynnie were done with school we decided to go out to Mexican food... Zander of course got the authentic mexican meal of Chicken Nuggets and French Fries!

And he ate it all! The last bite was the best as you can tell, he stuffed it all in because we were stealing his french fries... Then we went and played in the ball pit and playground at Dairy Queen and had an ice cream cone. Then we came home, took baths and cuddled and went to bed. It was simple but perfect. We were all together.

This little guy is amazing. He has grown so much since we got him. He is so smart and VERY Precocious. He loves to be sarcastic and makes us laugh and smile and love our life just a little more every single day. He is sweet and kind and helpful... He is simply the best 3 year old ever!

Thank you V and J and their families for their support. Zander is so loved by so many people and he knows it! He is so blessed.

My favorite is when they play so nicely together. I am so extremely blessed I can't even put it into words!

Easter 2012

We had everything ready for when the kids woke up from their nap. Yes they both fell asleep, it was a long weekend!

So here they are doing the deed of dying eggs!

Then we ran over to the Lewis home (the river) and did a family egg hunt. The kids had a blast and it was so fun having a egg hunt with their cousins.

Jessalyn did VERY well for herself!

Zander didn't do too bad either

Overall, every cousin had enough candy to last a lifetime (Or at least through Spring Break!)

Number 12 yikes

That's right. In almost 11 years of marriage, Jake and I have gone through 12 cars! Our plan is to stick with the two we have now for awhile, but I'm guessing Jake will want a new truck when I get a job and bills get paid down a bit! Anyway we love our new 2011 Mitsubishi Endeavor.
